Ecodal is one of the most important suppliers of Notes from my Garden. This family company, located in the heart of Pajottenland, produces organic fruit and vegetables. Ecodal and the horticultural company Kestemont have been pioneers in organic farming in Flanders since 1982.
The majority of the vegetables produced are grown on the sandy soil of Pajottenland. A collaboration with other neighbouring organic producers has also been developed to ensure sufficient volumes. A partnership with organic growers in the Mediterranean area ensures the production of quality organic vegetables throughout the year.
Located at the gates of Brussels, in Flemish Brabant, Ecodal cultivates under glass, in tunnels and in the open field. The company has almost 4 hectares under glass, 2 hectares in tunnels and 10 hectares in the field.
For many years, Notes de mon Jardin has been selling its products there, depending on the season:
- carrots,
- certain varieties of tomatoes,
- leeks,
- cauliflower,
- courgettes,
- pumpkins and other squash,
- aubergines,
- chard,
- aromatic plants (basil, tarragon),
- many varieties of cabbage,
- forgotten vegetables,
- asparagus and peas
In addition to locally produced vegetables, Ecodal also supplies spices such as organic ginger, produced in China.
The quality of their products allows Philippe Debra and his team to create tasty, vitamin-packed quiches, soups and cooked vegetables.
